Self-compassion is the practice of treating yourself with pure kindness, understanding & acceptance. This is especially important, when experiencing difficult situations or heavy emotions. It is truly essential for your healing journey. Choosing Self compassion will:
1. Reduce self-criticism: Self-compassion helps to quiet the inner critic, allowing you to focus on healing and growth rather than self-blame or shame. We have all heard that statement “we are our own worst critics” and my gosh, this can really be true. Lets flip that script and become out own biggest supporter instead!
2. Increases emotional resilience: By practicing self-compassion, you can better cope with the challenging emotions that can arise and develop emotional resilience. Allowing yourself to ‘feel the feelings’ in any given situation allows you to find the Grace for what ever emotion presents its self.
3. Fosters a positive self-image: Self-compassion promotes a positive and realistic self-image, helping you to develop a more compassionate and loving relationship with yourself. After all the most important relationship we have is the one with ourself!

It Releases emotional burdens: Self-forgiveness allows you to release the emotional weight of past decision, freeing you to move forward with greater ease and peace. We all do the best we can with the tools we have. it is important we take the lesson and to look at is a mistake.
By acknowledging and forgiving past decisions it promotes personal growth: , you can learn valuable lessons and develop greater self-awareness, leading to personal growth and transformation by choosing this path.

Practice mindfulness & meditation: Regular mindfulness and meditation practice can help you cultivate self-compassion and self-awareness. Even 5 minutes can change your outlook on a situation or circumstance!
Write yourself a letter: Write a letter to yourself from the perspective of younger you - or you looking in on a specific situation you are hung up on. Be compassionate, offering kindness, understanding, and above all deep forgiveness. This practice is incredibly therapeutic & heals deep within.
Engage in self-care: Prioritize self-care activities that nourish your mind, body, and spirit. This can look many different way; exercise, creative pursuits, or spending time in nature etc. If you need more on this here is a FREE resource
4. Seek support: Surround yourself with supportive people who encourage and accept you, and consider seeking the help of a therapist or counselor if you are called to that. There are also several healing modalities - Body talk, Reiki, EMDR to name a few. These have changed my life !
